Strozzapreti, (pronounced Stroh-zaa-prey-tee) is a long elongated shape made by twisting the past dough around so it creates hollows around the sides. It is a beautiful pasta shape that we have created through bronze dies, made in the traditional way with an eggless dough made of semolina and Wholewheat (to keep it healthy and taste delicious still!). With all those double S hollows for the sauce to creep in, and all that texture for it to hang onto. Try our strozzapreti with a pasta salad, a quick pesto or a spicy arrabiata. The pastabillities are endless!
1. Bring a pot of water to boil; add salt to boiling water 2. Add pasta to salted boiling water, stir gently occasionally 3. Al dente in 3-4 minutes. Once done toss straight into sauce for best results. Best eaten immediately after cooking.
